In 1990/91, hockey success continued but often now on artificial surfaces. The 1st XI won the Northumbria Women's A League for the second successive year and gained promotion to the Notts Sport North League via a resounding play off victory over Hull, 7-1, in Sheffield. This was to be the highest standard of hockey in the Club's history.

The NorthumberlandClubs Championship Greenlay Tournament, Cowgate Indoor Tournament and National Clubs Championship U18 (Northumberland) were all won.

Lauri Chandler, Barbara Sawyer and Pat Richardson (1st XI) and Penny Thompson and Kath Kelly (2nd XI) were leading goal scorers and Lauri (Northumberland 1st XI), Barbara, Dawn Nicolson, Joanna Bushnell, Gill Johnson(Northumberland 2nd XI), and Julie Russell (Herts and East of England U21) gained representative honours.
