This week we faced another grudge match against Whitley bay.

We started strong, intercepting the other team’s transfer and putting pressure on straight away.
Within first 5 minutes Chloe has an opportunity on goal. She is in competition with herself and herself only for the slowest goal this season. Sporting Tinys old shirt, 45, stepping up into the former top goal scorers legend and herself becoming top goal scorer. (The fight is on).
We held our ground for the majority of the game with some great runs from Hannah, dominating the right sideline thanks to Cates strong tackles and weighted passes and as a whole ignoring the argey bargey from Whitley bay.
The back 3 held their ground with Issy’s great calm and composure and between Issy, Alice and Craggs some of the best transfers we’ve seen.
Rach Mayne running in and out of whitleys press created some great opportunities.
Unfortunately Whitley caught us on a break and equalised to 1-1.
Our ability to hold possession stepped up this week and we came out of the game with a point.

Despite Whitley’s umpire trying her hardest to make up as many fouls as she could to win Whitley a short corner at the end, Whitley have nothing on our defence who defend shorts exceptionally week after week.

1-1 was the end score and most of us kept our cool.
One of us didn’t (apologies to the team).
