With Newcastle in full swing to play.
Matt's through ball was prime,
And Tom’s finish sublime,
Then Paul to Matt made it 2-0 by halfway.

Whitley Bay, after halftime, improved,
A new formation saw them sharply move.
Three quick goals in reply,
Had Newcastle ask "Why?"
As the visitors found quite the groove.

But Guy made some saves, sharp and bright,
A one-on-one stopped in full flight.
Then Neil, with his head,
Saved a ball from the dead,
While Andy used his stick just right.

Ben S was a force in the press,
Although his body parts now may be less.
Aaron in midfield had no fear,
His pass led to Steve running clear,
Pulling back for Matt’s strike to impress.

At the Brandling, post-game, they all met,
With a naan bread complaint to be set.
Steve moaned of it cold,
Porky Roake clearly quite bold,
Had four portions, leaving others upset.

In the end a great game between two teams playing high quality hockey.
